The Colts announced that Gardner was questionable to return with a calf injury. The New York Jets traded Gardner to the Colts Nov. 4, ahead of the NFL's trade deadline. The Jets received 2026 and 2027 first-round picks and receiver AD Mitchell. Gardner'was declared out'by head coach Aaron Glenn for the Jets' game against the Bengals'in NFL Week 8 at Paycor Stadium.
